For solo SaaS founders

See exactly where your new signups stall, and why they leave

Stallwatch replays each new signup's first session, pinned to the step where they stopped, then asks the ones who quit why. Add one snippet to any web app.

Free up to 50 signups a month. Setup in under 5 minutes.

Signups are coming in. Users aren't.

The funnel tells you that people drop. It never tells you where they got stuck or what made them close the tab.

"They sign up, try it once, and disappear. None of them tell me why."
You see a signup notification, then nothing. No second login, no reply, no clue.
"200 signups, 30 started checkout, zero paid. What do I fix first?"
Pricing page? Plan limits? A broken card form? Every theory looks equally likely from a funnel chart.
"I've never actually watched a single person use my product."
You built every screen, but you've only ever seen it through your own eyes, already knowing where to click.
"I emailed everyone who churned. Two replies, both 'just busy'."
By the time your email lands, days later, they've forgotten what bothered them.
"I keep rebuilding onboarding based on guesses."
Another week on a new setup flow, with no evidence the old one was the actual blocker.

From install to your first real answer

No event planning, no dashboards to build. Stallwatch focuses on one thing: new signups' first sessions.

  1. 1

    Paste one snippet

Add a single JS snippet to your web app. It works with any stack and takes under 5 minutes.

  2. 2

Watch first sessions pinned to the stall

Each new signup's first session is recorded and marked at the step where they stopped moving forward.

  3. 3

    Read why they left

When someone stalls or abandons checkout, a short question asks why. Their answer sits next to their replay.

The where and the why, for every lost signup

Not a pile of random recordings. Not a percentage. A clear picture of what happened to each person who didn't stick.

Jump straight to the moment they stalled

Every first-session replay is pinned to the drop-off step, so you skip the scrubbing and watch the 30 seconds that matter.

Ask quitters why, while they still remember

A one-question prompt appears when a signup stalls or leaves checkout. Short, in context, and answered in seconds instead of ignored days later.

Know which blocker to fix first

Stalls are grouped by step and ranked by how many signups they cost you, with the exit answers attached, so you fix the biggest leak first.

Private by default

Form inputs are masked before anything is recorded. Data is hosted in the EU and handled in line with GDPR, so you can watch sessions without collecting what you shouldn't.

Built for founders with signups but no traction

Stallwatch is for you if

  • You have signups but few or no paying users

Somewhere between 30 and 500 signups, and most of them never came back after day one.

  • People start onboarding and don't finish

Your setup takes seconds in theory, yet most new users never reach the core of the product.

  • Checkouts get started, never completed

You can see intent to pay, but no idea what made people back out at the last step.

  • You've never watched a real user

You want to see your product through a new user's eyes without recruiting interviews.

It's probably not for you if

  • You're building a native iOS or Android app. Stallwatch runs as a web snippet.
  • You already have a full analytics stack and a researcher on the team.
  • You don't have signups yet. There's nothing to watch until people arrive.

Why not just use funnels or free recordings?

Those tools are great at what they do. They just don't answer the question a solo founder is actually asking: why did this person leave?

Questions founders ask

Microsoft Clarity is free. Why pay $29 a month?

Clarity gives you every session from every visitor, and you do the digging. Stallwatch only looks at new signups' first sessions, pins each one to the step where they stalled, and asks them why they left. You get the answer, not a search task. And it's free up to 50 signups a month.

How is this different from a PostHog or Mixpanel funnel?

A funnel tells you 70% dropped at step two. Stallwatch shows you each person who dropped, the replay of that moment, and what they said when asked. No events to define or dashboards to build.

How long does setup take?

Under 5 minutes. Paste one JS snippet into your web app and new signups' first sessions start showing up. It works with any web stack.

What about privacy and user data?

Form inputs are masked by default, so passwords, emails and payment details typed into fields aren't recorded. Data is hosted in the EU and handled in line with GDPR.

Won't the exit question annoy my users?

It's one short question, shown only when someone stalls or leaves checkout, and it's easy to dismiss. It replaces the follow-up email most people ignore anyway.

What happens if I pass 50 signups on the free plan?

Signups beyond 50 in a month aren't recorded until the next month starts, or until you upgrade to Pro. Everything you've already captured stays available.

Does it work on mobile apps?

Stallwatch runs in the browser as a JS snippet, so it's built for web apps, including when they're used on a phone's browser. Native iOS and Android apps aren't supported.

Stop guessing why signups leave

Watch where they stall, read why they quit, and fix the real blocker first. Free up to 50 signups a month.
